Whipped Feta and Heirloom Tomato Appetizer
Here’s a great way to use all those tomatoes from your garden: Turn them into an impressive appetizer! Here’s what you need:
- Lunds & Byerlys SuperSeed Artisan Bread, available in our bakery
- Feta cheese, available in our deli
- Whipped cream cheese, available in our dairy department
- Heirloom tomatoes, sliced
- Fresh basil
- Olive oil
- Fresh ground pepper
- Combine 8 ounces feta with 2 ounces whipped cream cheese in a food processor and mix until creamy.
- Spread the cheese mixture on slices of toasted Lunds & Byerlys SuperSeed Artisan Bread.
- Top with tomatoes and basil.
- Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with fresh ground pepper to taste and serve.
Pairs well with a Côtes du Rhône wine. Summer tip: Chill the wine for 10-15 minutes before serving.
