First brewed in 1862, the Chimay Rouge (Red Cap) or Premiere is the oldest beer brewed by the Trappist monks in Belgium's Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey. It has a distinct coppery color, a sweet, fruity apricot aroma and a pronounced creamy head. The malt in this beer has a nutty character that goes well with the hints of pepper from the house yeast as well as the caramel and apricot flavors. 7% alcohol by volume. 750 ml glass bottle.Description
