How to make homemade slow cooker applesauce

There’s nothing better than the smell of homemade applesauce cooking all day in
the slow cooker! It makes your whole house smell like fall. Here’s how to do
it:

image

First, add ½ cup of
brown or white sugar, ½ stick of cinnamon, the juice of 1 lemon and 1 cup of
water to your slow cooker.

Then add about 4
pounds of cored and sliced (or coarsely chopped) apples to the cooker until
it’s no more than ¾ full. Tip: If you leave the peels on, your sauce will be
a rosy color.

Cook on low for
about 8 hours. Enjoy!
