Grilled Romaine Salad
Did you know you can cook salad
on the grill? It’s no joke! Cooking the lettuce on the grill for a few minutes
gives this salad a smoky flavor that just can’t be beat.
Start with romaine hearts,
available in our produce department. Cut each heart in half and brush with
olive oil. Heat your grill to 200 F and cook the lettuce over direct heat for 2
minutes per side.
Serve with grilled bacon, blue
cheese crumbles and cherry tomatoes. Top with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and
salt and pepper to taste.
