Garlic Knots

These easy-to-make garlic knots are delicious. Our L&B Pizza Dough is so soft and chewy, it might as well be homemade, and the layer of butter, garlic, Parmesan and Italian herbs we slathered on top makes each bite truly mouthwatering.

But then (then!) add in the nostalgia factor — how these Garlic Knots taste just like the cheesy breadsticks at the pizza joint where you hung out in high school, how when you sink your teeth into them you’re transported to the halcyon days of your youth — and these Garlic Knots become divine, especially (especially!) when you dunk them in hot pizza sauce.

Ten-minute prep adds to the appeal, as do the recipe’s six easy steps. Make them for a comforting dinner or a weekend tailgating party, or add them to the table for a kiddo’s birthday party and pay the nostalgia forward.

15 servings
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 12 to 14 minutes

Ingredients:

Cooking spray
All-purpose flour, for sprinkling
1 12-ounce ball L&B White Pizza Dough
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
3 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese
L&B Pizza Sauce, warmed up for serving

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch and roll the dough into an 8×15-inch rectangle, sprinkling it lightly with flour as needed.
  3. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough across the short side of the rectangle, creating 15 1-inch strips. Tie each slice of dough into a knot, tucking the ends under. Place on the prepared baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, garlic powder, oregano, parsley and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Brush the butter mixture over the rolls, reserving about 1 ½ tablespoons.
  6. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with reserved butter mixture and serve hot with pizza sauce.
