Tummy Tamer Banana Mango Probiotic Smoothie
Bea James, our senior manager of organic, natural, health & wellness, shares her favorite tummy tamer smoothie recipe!
This belly balancing blend is loaded with ingredients that help support healthy digestion and calm an upset stomach.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups Lifeway Organic Whole Milk Plain Kefir
- 1 cup frozen organic bananas
- ½ cup frozen mango
- 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
- ½ teaspoon chia seeds
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ½ cup ice cubes (as desired for thickness)
- 1 tablespoon agave or honey (optional to sweeten)
Directions
Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender. Start blending on low, then gradually increase speed to high. Blend until completely smooth. Enjoy immediately.
Note: Plan ahead and let your organic bananas ripen completely for fullest flavor, then peel, cut into 2-inch pieces, wrap securely in plastic and freeze immediately. Pieces will keep in the freezer for about a week before turning color.
