FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you have to share location?

    No, you are not required to share your location. We recommend the “only while in use” option.

  • If you don’t share your location, how does this affect the store?

    The store will not receive a ‘nearby’ or ‘arrived’ notification. They will only receive the ‘take it’ button once you hit “I’m here” on the app.

    If you do not opt-in at all (do not tap the link), there will be no notifications for the store. You will need to call the online pickup number upon arrival.

  • If you share your location, how does FlyBuy use your location data?

    FlyBuy will only use location data for the duration of your active order.  Once the order is marked “complete” by the store, active location sharing is disabled.

  • What events can stop you from sharing your location with the store?

    If you are going through the web flow and choose not to download the app, FlyBuy will receive location updates ONLY if you keep the web page open in the foreground. If you close the browser or move it to the background, FlyBuy will no longer receive location updates.

    If you completely terminate the app, FlyBuy will no longer receive location updates. If you open the app back up, location updates will begin again.

    If your cell provider is Sprint or T-Mobile, you will need to enable VoLTE on your phone to allow data transmission while speaking on the phone. If you do not have this enabled, and you make a phone call, FlyBuy will not be able to gather location updates during the phone call. Verizon and AT&T customers automatically have this feature enabled as a default.

  • What is the value of sharing location with the store?

    Location sharing alerts the store that you are on the way.  This allows the store to prepare orders in advance and dramatically reduce your wait time.  Location-sharing is only active while you are en route to the store.

  • Am I required to share vehicle information?

    No, you are not required to share vehicle information although doing so will make it easier for the shopper to locate your car in the pickup area.
