Appetizer idea: Tuscan Bruschetta
This easy Italian-inspired appetizer is full of flavor and comes together in minutes. Pairs well with a dry white wine from our Wines & Spirits locations!
Makes 24 slices
Preparation time: 20 minutes
1 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil
½ cup pine nuts
½ cup green onion, sliced
1 cup Romano Cheese, grated
1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
24 slices crusty bread
Salt and pepper
- Heat oven to 400 F.
- Chop tomatoes coarsely.
- Toast pine nuts in a dry skillet or in a toaster oven until browned and fragrant.
- Mix tomatoes, nuts, onions, cheese and spices.
- To assemble, spread 1-2 tablespoons of topping on each slice of bread. Bake for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
