5 compound butters
Did you know: You can add fresh herbs or other mix-ins to a
stick of butter for an instant flavor boost! These beautiful compound butters
are delicious spread over crusty bread, grilled meats or steamed veggies. Here
are some easy mix-in suggestions:
- 2 teaspoons of your favorite fresh herbs such as
rosemary, thyme or sage - 1 tablespoon of fresh snipped basil + 2 teaspoons of
lemon peel - 2 tablespoons of harissa paste + 1 scant tablespoon of
fresh mint - 1 tablespoon of Lunds
& Byerlys Mustard and a tablespoon of freshly chopped dill - 1 chipotle from a can of chipotles in adobo sauce
Just blend the mix-ins together with a softened stick of
butter in your food processor and enjoy! The butters will keep for about a week
in your fridge or for two to three months in the freezer.
