Tapenade Twists

Quick yet elegant! Just buy the 5-Olive Tapenade from the Byerly's deli.

  • parchment paper
  • 1 (17.3 ounce) package frozen puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Byerly's 5-Olive Tapenade


  1. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Unfold pastry sheet, roll into a 10x15-inch rectangle. Lightly brush entire surface of dough with egg; spread one-half of the tapenade to within 1/2 inch of edges. Fold bottom half of dough over tapenade; press edges together to seal. Press the dough gently in a few places to make layers stick together. Using a pizza cutter, trim edges of dough; cut crosswise into 12 (3/4 inch wide) strips. Twist each strip four or five times. Place on prepared baking sheets. Repeat with remaining puff pastry. Bake in a preheated 400 F oven until golden brown (15-20 minutes). Remove to wire rack to cool. Store in airtight container.
