The traditional range top method.
Servings 4 cups
In medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Stir in cranberries. Cook until skins pop (7-10 minutes). Cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate.
Tip: For 12 ounces cranberries (3 cups), use 1-1¼ cups sugar and lower water to 1 cup. Cook as above. Makes about 3 cups.
