Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 16 ounces cranberries
The traditional range top method.

Directions

  1. In medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Stir in cranberries. Cook until skins pop (7-10 minutes). Cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate.
  2. Tip: For 12 ounces cranberries (3 cups), use 1-1¼ cups sugar and lower water to 1 cup. Cook as above. Makes about 3 cups.
