The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office settled certain claims against two pharmaceutical companies, and you may be eligible for a refund of out-of-pocket costs.
The Attorney General’s Office settled claims against Amgen, Inc. for promoting the medication Enbrel for off-label uses and for overstating Enbrel’s effectiveness. As a result, patients who received Enbrel to treat plaque psoriasis between January 1, 2004, and December 31, 2011, may be eligible for reimbursement of their out-of-pocket expenses associated with Enbrel.
The Attorney General’s office also settled claims against Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for marketing off-label uses of the medication Rapamune. As a result, patients who received Rapamune for non-renal transplants between January 1, 1999, and August 6, 2014, may be eligible for reimbursement of their out-of-pocket expenses associated with Rapamune.
