Local pick: Wee Willy’s World Champion Barbecue Sauce

Wee Willy’s is very much a Minnesota family business, with only three employees.

It all started in 2002, when Bill and Lana, a husband-and-wife team, turned the barbecue world upside-down with their unique barbecue sauce. They became the first barbecue team north of Kansas City to win the prestigious Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue, held in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Ever since then, they’ve built their business the old-fashioned way, building a strong, loyal following here in the Twin Cities.

You can enjoy Wee Willy’s on just about any kind of meat:

  • Ribs, chicken, chops, steak and shrimp
  • Burgers and fries
  • Rotisserie deli chicken

Just grill as usual, basting 2 to 3 times during the last 10 to 30 minutes of cooking – or just drizzle the sauce over cooked meat to taste.

Taste for yourself! Look for Wee Willy’s Barbecue Sauce in the condiment aisle.
