How to seed a pomegranate

How many times have you tried to remove the juicy seeds from a pomegranate – only to have a big, red mess on your hands? (Literally!)

Use this simple technique for perfect pomegranate seeds every time, with no fuss and no mess:

Directions

  1. Roll the fruit lightly to loosen seeds.
  2. Score around the skin, being careful not to cut into the fruit inside.
  3. Split in half.
  4. With seeds facing down, hold each half over a large bowl and hit the skin with the back of a spoon to release the seeds.

Use in salads, drinks or eat plain as a healthy snack!
