What makes locally-grown Bushel Boy tomatoes so delicious
There’s nothing better than a Bushel Boy tomato! Grown down in Owatonna, they’re picked red and ripe and rushed directly to our stores within a day or so. You can taste the difference with every juicy bite.
Bushel Boy tomatoes are grown year-round in greenhouses, not outside, to help conserve water. (Tomatoes grown in the outdoors require 10 to 20 times more water!) The greenhouses are also filled with bumblebees and other “good bugs” to help pollinate the tomato plants and naturally rid the plants from pesky insects.
