Air Fried Fish Sticks

  • 1 pound cod fillets
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Tartar sauce, for serving


  1. Heat the air fryer at 400 F for 10 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, cut the cod into approximately 1-inch sticks.

  3. Place the flour in a shallow bowl.

  4. Place the egg in a separate shallow bowl and whisk.

  5. Place the panko, garlic powder, parsley, onion powder and salt in a third shallow bowl and stir to combine.

  6. Dip each fish stick in the flour, then the egg and finally the panko breadcrumb mix, making sure you completely coat at each step.

  7. Spray the air fryer with cooking spray and place half of the fish sticks in the basket.

  8. Cook at 400 F for 5 minutes, flip and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fish sticks.

  9. Serve with tartar sauce and enjoy!
