5 new ways to mix a margarita

Margaritas are the unofficial drink of summer – they’re fun, cool and refreshing – and let’s face it, they remind all of us Minnesotans of sitting on a beach.

Traditionally, margaritas are made with tequila, triple sec and lime juice. But if you’re looking for something a little different, here are 5 new twists on this favorite summer cocktail:

  • Blackberries with lemonade
  • Strawberries with limeade
  • Raspberries with mango juice
  • Orange slices with pomegranate juice
  • Jalapeño with grapefruit juice

First, start by salting the rim of your glass. To do this, just dip the rim of your glass in lime juice and then into coarse salt.

Then, muddle the fruit in the bottom of your glass and add an ounce or two of tequila, to taste.

Top with juice, add ice and then just sit back and enjoy your drink with a plate of Grilled Party Nachos.
