Wild Rice Accompaniment

- 1 cup uncooked wild rice
- 1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
- 3 tablespoons minced onion
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds, or water chesnuts
- 3 cups Chicken Broth
- 1/4 cup Butter
An oven method.
Directions
- Rinse wild rice in strainer under running water or in bowl of water; drain. In 2 quart casserole, combine rice, mushrooms, onions and almonds. Stir in broth; dot with butter. Bake, covered, in a preheated 325 degree oven until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed (about 1 1/2 hours).
