Brie - Beyond the Basics

Serve with plain crackers or thinly sliced French bread.

Directions

  1. Apricot 'N Brandy Brie: Arrange 1 (8 ounce) Brie round in center of microwavable plate. Microwave (LOW, 10 ower) 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes, rotating plate 1/2 turn after 1 minute. Let stand 3 minutes. Poke holes in top of Brie with tines of fork. Combine 1/3 cup apricot preserves and 2 tablespoons brandy in microwavable dish. Microwave (MEDIUM, 50 ower) 1 minute. Pour over Brie, garnish with grapes.
  2. Chutney 'N Brie: Arrange 1 (8 ounce) Brie round in center of microwavable plate. Microwave (LOW, 10 ower) 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes, rotating plate 1/2 turn after 1 minute. Let stand 3 minutes. In 1 cup glass measure, microwave (MEDIUM, 50 ower) 1/2 cup chutney 1 minute. Pour over Brie, sprinkle wtih roasted salted nuts and sliced green onion.
  3. Herb 'N Nut Brie: Combine 1 teaspoon butter and 1 tablespoon sliced almonds in microwavable cup. Sprinkle with a pinch of tarragon and thyme, crumbled. Microwave (HIGH) 1 minute. Spoon over 1 (4 1/2 ounce) Brie round on microwavable plate. Microwave (MEDIUM, 50 ower) until cheese softens (about 1 minute).
