Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch® program works to engage and empower consumers and businesses to purchase seafood that is fished or farmed in ways that minimize their impact on the environment.
GAA provides global sustainable oversight of aquaculture (farm-raised) seafood and is leading aquaculture suppliers and producers toward strict guidelines that focus on environmental and social responsibility, animal welfare, food safety and traceability.
The Alaska Seafood industry has chosen a Food & Agricultural Organization (FAO) based model for independent third party certification and verification that Alaska fisheries are responsibly managed for a sustainable future.
