What is organic?

Food labeled with the USDA Organic seal are defined as products that contain 95-100% organic ingredients and have been inspected to organic standards outlined by the USDA National Organic Program. Look for the USDA organic seal on the front of the package as your assurance of a truly organic product.

Some products are also labeled as “Made with Organic” ingredients. These products contain up to 70% organic ingredients and do not display the USDA organic seal because they fall below the 95% organic ingredient standard. The ingredient label calls out all organic ingredients, so check the label to see what’s organic and what’s not. It’s that easy!
